Gable Island and Penguin Rookery with Canoeing


From October to April:

We go by land, in canoes, sailing, and walking to discover one of the most wild and beautiful Islands on the Beagle Channel!

This is a full day journey into the almost uninhabited, peaceful lands of the first "estancia" in Tierra del Fuego: Harberton Ranch.

During this full-day tour we'll take you canoeing on the Beagle Channel!

Later on we navigate, to walk and discover the forest on Gable Island, one of the roughest and most beautiful places in the Beagle Channel.

    8:00/8:40 Pick up at hotel and departure from Ushuaia
    08:45 Travel through glacial valleys, forests, Route 3, and "J"
    10:15 Technical and safety briefing. Canoeing on the Beagle Channel.
    12:00 End of Canoeing. Embarking on a motor boat
    12:15 Navigation to Martillo Island. Penguin watching
    12:30 Arrival at Isla Gable. Disembarking. Lunch.
    13:45 Hike at Gable Island.
    16:15 Navigation to Martillo island. Penguin watching.
    17:00 Arribo a la estancia Harberton
    17:30 Stop at the "flag trees".
    18:30 Arrival to Ushuaia.

    Approximate times. The development of the tour might call for a change in the order and timing of the activities. The canoieing might be shortened or cancelled according to the guide's decision.


Snacks + fish en papillote or meat roll with baked potatoes + dessert. Drinks included: Soft-drinks, bottled water, red wine.

Vegetarians and celiacs: special menus are available with previous reservation.


Transportation: Minibus. Up to 16 passengers. English and spanish guides.


Children from 5 to 11 years: 30% discount. The regular tour does not carry children under age 5.
